Podcast are new ways of broadcasting. They can be about any topic under the sun. My favorite podcasts are about the cast from my favorite TV show Degrassi. I have been hooked on the show since I was in 6th grade. Most of the time people think the characters actors play on tv is how they are in real life. After listening to several podcasts I’ve learned that the cast is very down to earth.

For instance, Aubrey Graham, that played the character Jimmy Brooks is very talented outside of acting. In early 2009 he came to America and dropped a rap mix tape. It was instantly successful. Some of the cast members traveled to Ecuador and helped underprivileged children. They showed a special on TV where they helped build a school for them. They only had a small time limit but they worked hard into the nights and all day. I even learned that one of the cast members played on the older version of the show. He has been apart of the series since it first aired in the early to mid 80s. I like this show so much and now another generation is growing up to watch the show. I think the main reason the show is a big success is because it is very relatable to real life. There is at least one character on the show that you can either relate to or have seen in your high school. Also the actors are very down to earth. They do the same things outside of acting that regular teens do. This show will probably be on the air for a long time to come. As long as teens keep watching and the story lines are relatable, it will never get old.
